Future of Futures at Nottingham Contemporary, 2021-22

A year-long research, programming, and collaboration project for young people in Nottingham.

Borrowing from sci-fi as well as role play and scenario planning techniques, Future of Futures was set in a future version of Nottingham, in a world at the end of the 21st century.

The programme included new commissions by Gasleak Mountain and Dudley and a residency with Wahad and Capoeira Collective.

Partnerships with Base51, Space Inclusive, New Midland Group, Nottingham Trent University, and Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies.
