Sirens’ Oath: Tides Turning is a short-form, narrative-led tabletop roleplaying game for 3–5 players, where a coven of mermaid witches gathers to decide the fate of a drowning city. Built around conversation, ritual, and collective decision-making, the game invites players into a shared storytelling space shaped by emotion, memory, and choice.
Designed without a Game Master, Sirens’ Oath is guided instead by rich prompts, ritual structures, and the roll of a single six-sided die. Each playthrough unfolds differently. Depending on the coven’s decisions, the city may be saved, transformed, or lost beneath the waves. The sirens themselves act as vessels for fierce feeling, drawing on myth, ecofeminism, folklore, and lived experience to centre narrative agency and emotional truth.
The game is rules-light but emotionally deep, requiring no preparation. It can be played in an evening with friends, as part of a retreat, or adapted for solo play through journalling and ritual. Alongside the game zine, Sirens’ Oath is supported by a set of sculpted miniatures designed as talismans within play. Visually striking and beginner-friendly, they invite painting as an extension of the ritual experience.
Sirens’ Oath: Tides Turning is the debut release from Twisted Spire, a studio founded by Wingshan to explore the emotional, mythic, and magical possibilities of tabletop games. The project is currently in preview on Gamefound and will launch alongside MyMiniFactory FronTiers, bringing together narrative-led design, accessible play, and miniature-based storytelling.
